Shrunz Fall is located on Ningli stream in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District. The area is rich in flora and fauna and is beautified with pine and fir trees. It is exactly in lap of Pir Panjal Mountain range.

The fall is about 22 km from Srinagar-Muzafarabad national highway when one takes a turn at Tapper, Choora or Potukhah Muqam. Tourism Department has installed sign boards on these three places having landscape picture of the fall on it. The fall is just 5 km from Baba Reshi Shrine, a pilgrim spot where the shrine of famous Sufi saint Baba Payam ud Din Reshi is located. The fall has other road connectivity to Srinagar-Muzafarabad National Highway via villages Dangarpora, Malpora, Heevan and Sheer. One can reach Shrunz Fall either by newly constructed roads or by trek.

The place can be a very good spot of water and adventure tourism. The area around Shrunz Fall has a good potential for Zip lining. Trekkers can have hard adventure all the way from Gulmarg, Baba Reshi, Tangmarg to this fall.

One can get the whole view of the fall and stream from a bridge or a newly constructed hut. The hut may be opened shortly for tourists to have a soothing sight of the fall. People usually go very near to the fall and some can be seen bathing in its chilled water. The place is perfect for sightseeing. The fast flow of water makes it potent for production of hydroelectricity.

Being a fall of its own kind in North Kashmir, the place is thronged by local visitors and tourists who visit Gulmarg, Tangmarg or Baba Reshi. The villages near the place are Saterseen, Dandmoh, Nilson, Choonthpathri, Baldaji etc. The authorities have constructed the pump shed from where water is supplied through pipes to nearby villages.

Located exactly between two steep slopes of mountains in a pass weather remains usually pleasant at Shrunz Fall. Lofty mountains covered with lush green forests welcome the onlookers. Gushing water passing mesmerizes the souls. Chilled water freshen the body. A cool breeze makes one feel in peace. Gushing water strikes the huge rocks and produces rocking music.

Owing to growing popularity from last couple of years authorities need to pay more attention to Shrunz Fall by providing and facilitating basic facilities for the visitors and tourists. This can provide livelihood for locals and boost their economy.
